Thank you for taking the time to examine my E-portfolio. I hope that by doing so you will be able to better understand who I am as an individual and also better understand my goals, expectations, and practices as a teacher.
To briefly introduce myself, my name is Amanda Fawcett, and I am a grilled cheese sandwich on wry with Heinz 57 personality sauce and a bit of relish and tang on the side. I love books, movies, jokes, interior design and metaphors.
I chose to become a teacher because of an amazing teacher I had in 9th
grade. Before this time I read on a 5th grade reading level and hated
anything to do with reading, writing or literature. One teacher changed all of
that for me by introducing me to a new way of thinking. I want to do the same
for my students.
This E-Portfolio is designed to show the steps, procedures, lessons, and curriculum I have and am continually designing to achieve the goal of helping all students have success in my classroom. My teaching belief is that a teacher has the ability to light or extinguish the flames of creativity, excellence and passion for learning. One never knows when something may spark the interest and
curiosity in a student.
